The guidelines on implementation of organizational interoperability
Description
The guidelines follow the vision of the organizational interoperability as a business plan covering the organizational aspects of the collaboration. Therefore, the guidelines adopt various concepts from Business Motivation Model (BMM). BMM is an OMG standard providing the structure for defining business plans. The guidelines recommend involved partners to formalize and harmonize the understanding of the collaboration on different levels. The approach starts from defining of what partners want to achieve by the collaboration and finishes by specifying cross-organizational business processes. This process includes the proper definition and alignment of such key success factors for open source collaboration as corporate goals, objectives, strategies, tactics, rules and cross-organizational business processes.
The guidelines do not require dedicated tools. All organizational interoperability artefacts can be specified with help of a text processor enabling the use of tables in textual documents and with help of a BPMN modelling tool or any other tool for drawing business process diagrams.
The guidelines are intended for managers responsible for establishing and developing relationships with other organisations.
